SMOKE TESTING PROGRAM
The City of Concordia will be conducting leak testing in the sanitary sewer system by blowing smoke into the sewer lines. This smoke will reveal sources of sewer odors in your neighborhood, as well as, the locations where storm water and other sources of surface waters are entering the sanitary sewer system.
2016 Annual Water Quality Report can be viewed at www.ecode360.com/CO3273 (City of Concordia Codes link) under misc. documents. If you have any questions, please call City Hall 660-463-2228.
The maintenance department maintains approximately twenty miles of streets. Funding for street maintenance is provided through the city's general fund, with supplemental monies from a capital improvement sales tax, of which 1/4-cent is designated for street and drainage improvements.
The city offers a curb and guttering program in which the home owner pays for installation and the city provides grading and finish work.
